Knowledge has to be improved, challenged, and increased constantly, or it vanishes. – Peter Drucker
With no doubt, the below facts will enlighten, inspire, and prevent you from being overwhelmed by the false and misleading assumptions fabricated by shallow minded fellows.
Carefully study and deliberate on the below facts, and your new perception of what success really entails will reflect in your life and success journey.
1. Success is achievable by any individual
Race, sex, background, etc, can only lengthen the success duration and make it a little tougher, but can never permanently hinder any individual from success.
Irrespective of your age, race, sex, etc, set ablaze your desire to succeed and put in your best effort.
However difficult life may seem, there is always something you can do and succeed at. – Stephen Hawking
Disregard people’s specialties and discover yours. Dedicate yourself towards bettering yourself and you’ll be just an inch away from becoming successful.
2. Failure is inevitable in a success journey
Failure and success go hand-in-hand; failure is a stepping stone to success.
Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm. -Winston Churchill
No genuinely successful being ever achieved success without experiencing certain misadventures. When you’re positive minded, failure can be your boost to breakthrough.
3. Success is not guaranteed by hard work alone
In as much as hard work is the primary key to achieving any goal, other essentials like consistency, persistence, smartness, etc, must never be overlooked.
Also, it is important to note that working hard with no planned strategy or laid-down objectives will needlessly make your success journey more backbreaking than usual.
4. Success is not all about money
Success is not all about earning stardom and fortune; success is an entity that can take the form of power, reputation, happiness, etc. This simply means that success is the achievement of set-goals and objectives.
Every life achievement, even ones involving little fortune, are all success.
Learn to celebrate success over even the littlest accomplishments — this will fill you with a sense of progression and therefore strengthen your will to carry on.
5. Success is never inborn
No successful individual was ever born successful. Accepted, some people are born with a silver spoon. However, being born into a wealthy home is never a guarantee that you’ll succeed.
Likewise, having a poor background is never an excuse as to not succeed. Other than family’s wealth, your desire to succeed is eminent. Success is as a result of the application of the essential attributes like persistence and consistency with a great desire.
6. Action must be taken in order to succeed
Meditating, brainstorming, and researching will do you no good if no action is taken.
Action is the foundational key to all success. – Pablo Picasso
Achieving success not only involves a burning desire, it involves your ability to summon the courage, roll up your sleeves, face your fears, and take action.
If you quietly linger in your comfort zone and wait for a miracle, sorry to burst your bubble, the only miracle you’re guaranteed of is failure — even if you have the most innovative ideas.
Likewise, taking no action in your career even after reading thousands of tips, guidelines, and inspirational posts will only bring you zero inch closer to your dreams!
7. Path to Success is unfair
As sad as it may sound, this an honest fact. Success journey has been and will always be unfair; everyone never has equal chances and opportunities. Some were born into wealthy homes and prosperous nations, while others emerge from poverty-stricken homes. Yet, everyone pursues the same success with no credit given to the people with a rough start.
Trying to change this fact is a complete time waste, learn to deal with it. As unfair as it may be, let your desire to succeed always triumph.
8. Massive success depends on attitude over little success
Like it’s often said, good is the enemy of best.
Getting distracted and relenting over a little taste of success will only deprive you of the bigger course and prevent further growth in your career.
Even after a little progress, it is important to maintain a burning desire and consistency in order to make it to the very top.
9. Great success requires risk
Risk is the price to be paid for success. Regardless of what career you intend to pursue, expecting it to be risk-free is totally absurd. Avoid career stagnancy by taking risks. Always bear in mind, whatever the outcome from taking risks may be, it is and will always be an experience you can learn from.
10. Meaning of success varies with persons
As stated earlier, success is the achievement of set goals. We all have different goals and objectives. Mine may be to earn lots of money while yours is to be happy.
Ignorance of this fact is the reason most individuals tie their understanding of success solely to money and therefore fail to realize when they eventually succeed.
11. Success is never all about playing by the rules
Rules provide procedures for getting things done. However, in some cases, you certainly have to be flexible enough to cope with the current situation. Change is constant, but most rules are rigid. Playing by the rules will often time deprive you the opportunity to explore new things and prevent you from discovering other ways of accomplishing tasks.
12. Success has nothing to do with luck
Often confused by many, success is never as a result of good luck. Success is earned from genuine hard work and application of other essential attributes. Successful people are often referred to as “lucky,” but no one ever calls them lucky when they are still struggling. If eventually, luck has a part to play in success, it’ll be only to aid you to get started not to earn you success.
While earnestly striving to succeed, it’s important you take note of the afore listed facts and apply them to your daily life and struggles in any way applicable.
A successful man is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks others have thrown at him. – David Brinkley
